The opportunity for Geothermal energy as 24/7 base load energy from the earth—geo (earth) + thermal (heat) as well as energy storage is upon us. Thailand’s resources run from north-west Thailand through Bangkok and to the south. Many hot springs are present and high temperature gradients across Thailands subsurface, present opportunities for Binary and Enhanced Geothermal projects.
Avenir is in a number of discussions with stakeholders and asset holders to design and develop multi-MW scale geothermal energy projects and looks to progress towards FID in 2025
